So what happened at IGN?

Yeah, I know that night had something to do with it, but has he succeeded in chasing you guys all off? From where I'm looking, he's sitting there basically running the Sega board! So what happened?

Well it all started when he made a thread about the PSP being more powerful then the DC. jp and I took offense and ridiculed him for it. After that he started getting really personal in his attacks, something that we had not done, and I still have not done. He just kept taking shots at us, and so we figured we had put up with enough and decided to leave that place. He is just a terrible human being and I can't deal with his shit anymore. Since we have left he has taken several more shots at us, and finally jp had enough so he made a post in nights pathetic post count celebration thread.

Yeah it is truly sad what happened. I will still post there, but I can't from work anymore. Truthfully I have been busy and been posting there less anyway. Now that I can access these forums from work I am happy.

I just have to hope that my job doesn't block this site...if they do.....

Oh it started a bit before the DC vs. PSP thing, that was just what sparked it off. It was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand if you will.

Prior to that, I remember night and newport got into some huge argument that night spread out through several threads previously(keyboards vs. controllers or something). night and yankee I don't think ever got along. And night and I had been on shakey terms since he started the PSP fanboy thing. Then he made that PSP vs. DC thread, which was obvious flamebait, and thats where it sorta started blowing up.


I wouldn't say night ran us off. Yankee had already left IGN and my posting there had become faaaaaaar less frequent. I was getting tired of the place anyways, so I left solely because this board was created where I figured the only people from there I really talked to posted or would more than likely wind up posting anyways. The only reason the whole night thing went down was because he kept attacking this board as well as yankee and myself long after we had ceased visiting his circle jerk wonderland.

As for all my good stuff being deleted (you guys missed it, it was classic), if you ever find any old posts by me on IGN, I have a link to the original post I made in his 30K in my sig. I copied it and pasted it into an angelfire page since I figured it would go bye-bye.

I still can't believe I only got banned for 24 hours though... :X

Oh I'm sure a lot more people were involved with everything that went down. Some from behind the scenes and some up front. But don't worry about it, given the way that dude acts (or has started acting, once upon a time he wasn't a prick), I imagine if it wasn't that it would've been something else. ;)

Well the way I see it, he was responsible (though he had help) for the move from the DC Board, then you guys leave IGN. I mean, if you think about it, he got what he wanted.

I didn't know night was responsible for the first degradation of the CSB (when the DCGB moved over there and thus discussion of true classic Sega came to a screeching halt within the month).


I don't think its what he wanted though.... he no longer has anyone around to make him look like a victim. So until he finds some other "big bad mean internet guys", he's probably pretty damn bored.

I agree that he did not want us there, and that is why he started with all the personal stuff. Sadly on IGN there is no recourse against assholes like him, so it is just easier to move rather then make your self crazy.

Why that dude goes to a board where everyone ridicules him for being a Sega fan or something has always been beyond me. I guess he just wasn't "hardcore" enough to earn the "elitist prick" title and have underlying resentment coming from every damn where.


But I mean seriously, who all is posting here? Yankee, newport, Hunter, mondop, cjg, Darth (and I assume M2D will wind up here eventually as well), Zastava eventually, and... maybe a few more people (sorry guys, its hard for me to keep track of who all is IGNers these days).

But I mean, seriously, that right there pretty much equates for the only people I ever really talked with on there. Frog also posts at shmups.com while NGT and Jorge are at neo-geo.com, and I talk to Da_Shocker on Yahoo (might send him this way too). Which leaves... who again? Basically just night's circle jerk crew. Am I interested that? No.
