NDS 377k
GBA 163k
PSP 161k
God damn we need a [Face_Dying of Laughter] smiley. This is the funniest shit in the history of the internet, they are losing to the mother fucking GBA. More people walked into stores last month and thought to themselves, "I need a handheld, what to buy a PSP or a fucking GBA, I know I will buy the GBA". Someone seriously needs to post this on the CSB and shut that stupid faggot night up.

It is not even worth putting it on the CSB because he will just say how much of a Nintendo fan he is. In all reality he is a big Nintendo fan.
Those numbers are awesome though, fuck the PSP.

I just love how this bodes extremely bad for the proprietary formats Sony loves to shove down consumers throats.
I hope this is just one more notch on the rail of Blu-Rays death bed.
<----will most likely be getting the HD-DVD add on for the 360. :]

I will also be getting the HD-DVD add on. I was unsure at first but the superior picture quality, plus all the extra features has me convinced.

Well, as of right now, the Blu-ray format is being outperformed by HD-DVD in almost every way. Check the following comparison articles:
Side-by-side comparisons of Warner Bros Blu-ray and HD-DVD movies:
http://www.dvdtown.com/article/warnerbros.hddiscsblu-rayvs.hd/3773/
Side-by-side comparisons of the Samsung Blu-ray player and low-end Toshiba HD-DVD player:

I too shall be picking up the HD-DVD add on for the 360. Everyone keeps expecting it to be 199 or less, so we shall see.

I am thinking that it will be around $250. If they make it to cheap then no one will buy the Toshiba player and then Toshiba is fucked.

I just read both of those articles. It seems Blu-Ray is not ready for mass market distribution, but was released early to compete with HD-DVD. If anything I will buy the HD-DVD add on, but I am still going to hold off for a long while. DVD will still be rulling the market for a few more years. Even when the HD formats take over I am not replacing my entire collection, only a select few will get replaced.

Yeah, but Toshiba makes the 360 HD-DVD player too. It can be a lot cheaper as all audio and video processing is still done on the 360. Also I'm not 100% on this, but I believe Toshiba gets to charge licensing fees for all HD-DVD movies. I know Sony is doing that with Blu-ray.
So basically, I think Toshiba will do just fine.
**edit: HD-DVD drive is manufactured by Toshiba. Industrial design was all done by Microsoft.

Agreed with the rushed Blu-ray statement. You wouldn't really need to replace your existing movies anyway unless you wanted the bonus features and enhanced audio as both the HD-DVD players and Blu-ray players can upconvert your regular DVDs.

I already have a nice upconverting DVD player, the Oppo so that is another reason for me to wait. :)
