Well, I had a little bit of time at work today so I did issue 14. I was going to go in a completely different direction with it, but my work has now blocked the sprites I didn't already have saved on this computer, that's why I couldn't get JDeath's "Wind Fiend" sprite for the issue I originally planned. Also since I'm at work, and for some reason, comics made here end up blurry, I made this one larger so that wouldn't be a problem.

MY BAD. Its just that it used to have New next to two of them and when I saw three I went straight to the third. But I have seen them all now and they are AWESOME!

By the way as far as cool comics go I was surfing a bit through Halo related stuff and found some guys doing a Halo/Calvin and Hobbs comic. I believe they leave the original comic mostly untouched, see mostly, and add in new dialogue. Of course there are additions like Calvin using MC's helmet in a lot of his fantasy play adventures. To be honest a lot of it is VERY funny, but you need to have played Halo to get probably 1/3 of it.

The problem with correct grammar, structure, etc in a nine panel comic is there isn't room for everything. I have to cut words out of some dialogue boxes to make it all fit knowing it's more important to get the point across with easily visible text. Since interest seems to be waning on the comic these days, I'm just going to end this current storyline after I introduce Zorro (he's after Xephion) and do the fight with Stickman. I do have several other ideas, but don't really want to waste my time if no one is going to read them you know?

One idea I had was do a backstory to some characters. For example, go into detail the real reason JP's character hates Sony.

Another idea is to have Sestren fight another squad Mortal Kombat style. I could use that to introduce a lot of newer people from this site as well as past members, etc without having to dive too deep into personal stories (as I don't know half of the members these days).

I don't know, whatever you guys think.

I will say Xephion and Zorro's arcs will be a LOT shorter than Hunters (more standard lengthish like 10-15 issues a piece).

But if you think about it, I had to use Hunter's arc to do a lot of things for the story.

#1: Introduct Hunter
#2: Turn Dr. Light back into normal form
#3: Explain how Hunter became the 2nd in command
#4: Explain how JP and Yankee became mods
#5: Do something to lead into recruiting Xephion and Zorro.

That would be a lot of stuff to do for 10 issues! But yes, I'll shut up now...

And Darth, if you haven't kept up, you have a lot of catching up to do!

Since we're so close to finishing the current storyline for the Sestren comic, I was wondering if you guys wanted anything special to be done. I was thinking of maybe putting an image file on the site you could download and burn onto it's own disc that would include stuff like...

All 100+ issues for the first story, commentary for all 100+ issues, some outtake/alternate issues, a preview of the next storyline, maybe some of my first web comic, "Trans-in-the-Pants," character bios, etc.

If no one cares about the extra stuff, I'll just go along into the next story after I iron out some details. I imagine Zorro's story arc will be done this week, and the last couple issues shortly after.

Well... I have decided on a couple things! First, in Zorro's arc, there will be a few little cameos of characters not introduced yet.

The characters written in were chosen specifically because they fit this storyline, I'm not trying to play favorites or anything.

Planned cameos:
- F302 Pilot & Darth are in one issue.
- Luminous, Shinji, Katie, and Bruhaha69 are in another.

Trust me, it will make sense and won't take away from Zorro's arc!

Also, for the image file you'll be able to download after this storyline is complete, I'm doing a couple little side stories. One for F302 Pilot and one for Luminous. I have a lot of others planned out, but theyll have to wait for another image, or maybe I can fit some of them in the next storyline.

I ended up doing something a little different than I previously thought. For example, F302 Pilot and Darth aren't in the same issue anymore and some other cameo appearances are split up as well. I think it turned out pretty well regardless :)

Attached is a new issue. I can't remember exactly, but I "think" I made it to 115 before. Since I didn't have access to some of the earlier issues, I tried to bridge the gap. I figured gotta start somewhere right?

The primary reason for this particular issue was to give me the template to create more (again) and to work out some issues with Photoshop.

Long story short, this is helping set up for a JP backstory... the REAL reason he hates Sony!!!!

I tried to fit a lot of things into a limited number of issues (maybe too much) while still tying it together with where issue 116 left off in April of 2008.

First, I knew it had to be somewhat Halo-related for the number 117 and I realized several members of the comic's other team only made brief apperances with nothing about their origins at all. I figured this might be a good way to give them all some limelight as I go through them relatively quickly which would end up leading to a lot of the characters getting killed off in the big upcoming battle (to match a large number of people that simply don't show up here anymore).

I went with the Mario theme for Luminous because he hates Mario (based on every Mario topic I've seen him post in). I figured I'd give some reason as to where the hate comes from. Still, he killed Mario and his home planet is a Halo ring. Nothing wrong with that :).

I couldn't stand the fact that story 1 ended with an upcoming big battle that never happened. I decided, even if the battle isn't funny, it has to happen because it would be fucking awesome. After I finish this storyline, I may or may not actually end the comic, but story 2 will certainly have an ending to the story that isn't a cliffhanger.
