Yeah that is a step in the right direction for HD-DVD in my book.

Unfortunately I have to wait to see where LOTR and Star Wars ends up.

Looks like I have a few more reasons to add to my ever growing list of why I will be buying theHD-DVD add-on when it comes out.

LotR, the Matrix trilogy and Batman Begins are all going to be on HD-DVD exclusively.


Now all I need is Star Wars and the decision will have been made....although I think Lucas will wait to see which wins the format war.

You are correct about Lucas waiting to decide. I don't see why he doesn't just release on both and get the damn movies out already.

Because then he can't hold it over their heads. What would be better than releasing the Star Wars collection on both at the same time? Releasing it on one with a huge release bonus paid by either Sony or Toshiba, then getting to release it on the other after the exclusive period expires with extras, then re-release the movies with the extras on one to the other as well!

Considering George Lucas even sued the United States over using the phrase "Star Wars" for a defense system shows he clearly just wants a bigger belly than he already has. I would say he is one of the most greedy people in a position of influence today.

George Lucas was responsible for Star Wars episodes 1, 2, and 3. He is by far the most evil person of all time.

I would be willing to entertain that thought if limited to only the world of film. However if its a no limit discussion Dick Cheney blows Lucas out of the water a million times over my friend.

Ok Newport... I gave an example about George Lucas... what does that have to do with the VP of the country? If you're going to say someone is a million times worse, then you need to give an example. Just give a few examples, a lot easier to see where you're coming from that way.

But you'll also notice I didn't say George Lucas was the WORST! I said he was "one of" the worst. That still leaves room for others to be included... so where am I "dead wrong?"

When I said Star Wars I mostly was referring to the original trilogy, but I will buy the prequels as well.


I am just too big of a fan, I can't help myself. Sort of like jp with the Saturn. It's a curse I will have to live with.

But there is a big difference... You have multiple versions of six movies while JP has multiple versions of hundreds of games, consoles, controllers, yadda yadda! You get to save money. :SM35
