Castlevania Movie News...

This Variety article reports that the upcoming film adaptation of Konami's long running Castlevania game series is moving forward as Universal Picture's Rogue label will be distributing the movie in the US and other locations (Universal was one of the two studios who pulled their funding of the Halo movie). The film, to be written and directed by Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson, is current scouting locations in Hungary and Romania and plans to start filming this spring.

This could be REALLY cool...I hope they don't destroy another great series in movie form.

Well... has Paul Anderson ever ruined a game movie? Nope. He has always made good movies, just not completely "faithful to the game" movies.

Mortal Kombat = great movie
Resident Evil = pretty good movie

Nothing at all like Uew Boll... who is still trying to do a MGS movie.. haha
