Welcome. Take ya' shoes off. Kick back. We got some hot chocolate, want any? How about we hook up ye' old Saturn for some good ole' Saturn Bomberman in abouta na niia? Or get some good ole' Twinkle Star Sprites runnin' up in this bitch? Whatever your poison, whether it be Sega's beloved Master System or the white box that wouldn't die, this is the board for you!

Q: Why does this exist?
A: Why not? But a better answer would have a couple of parts.
1. Half of the posters here are refugees from the Classic Sega Board at IGN. Therefore, we want to make the place more like home for them. And since we still have friends over there, we'd like to open up a little room for them to come hang out as well, especially since our crazy insane by-the-minute next-gen discussions probably scare most "old school" fanatics off.
2. Classic Sega discussions get little to no attention in General Gaming to begin with. And General Gaming moves INSANELY quick. If someone misses a day they may as well be scrolling back a page or so to catch up on what they missed!! At any rate, the SCSF exists so that the folks who want to read up on Classic Sega goodness can do so at their leisure without having to dig through the tons of awesome posts we have in General Gaming.

Q: So all Sega discussion has to take place here now?
A: Not at all. Feel free to keep non-1st party Sega discussion in general gaming. Once upon a time the CSB on IGN was nothing but Sega console discussions. And when that changed the board started to go downhill very fast. Therefore, feel free to view this as us hitting the reset button on the CSB and taking it back to the roots. Granted, if you really WANT to discuss Sega's next-gen offerings here, thats fine too!! The whole purpose of the Sestren boards is to provide the coolest fucking people on the internet the best board possible where they don't have to put up with the bullshit that most any other board would contain (drama, little kids being bitches, retards, power tripping mods, nazi mods, suck-up-wanna-be-mods, etc.).

And thats all I got right now. I'm sure Hunter can add some stuff as well and if any of you have any questions or concerns pertaining to this new board o' great then feel free to post them!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go see a black dragon about a reawakened tower. :)

efumf, you know, we didn't realize until recently that you were you.

I always thought you were this guy that had joined the Chromehounds squad way back in the day. I cannot believe that for almost a year we've been like "Man, I really wish efumf would register here, hey, someone needs to contact efumf and get him here," and you've pretty much been here the whole freakin' time. :SM14

At any rate, welcome aboard my friend. SCSF works for me. :)

Oh, and we have an entire post about you in the General Forum. :SM14

I dident know he was efumf either till now, lol.

As for seeing the CSB at its best, that was probley right when we moved there, maybe it last for a good 6 months, then it slowly died down after that. The best times where on the DCGB when we where all there...i'll never forget that. *cries*

The CSB was cool for a while but this place is much better. We have all the best posters from the CSB now that you are here, plus we have a lot of other really good posters who were not on the CSB.

Yeah, this is definitly the place now, it's new, fresh, fun, and as Yankee said, we got alot of great posters here. This will definitly in time, challenge the DCGB days. :D

DCGB days were cool until Sega went 3rd party. Then it turned to shit really quickly.

I never really liked the CSB days though...

Yeah, everyone started leaving the DCGB and then those that came in with questions about games was slowing down since there wasent much interest anymore. Eventually all DC talk came to a really slow pace and we decided to move to CSB...I kinda wish we dident, even though it was my doing really, mehzorz! :(

I was in the need for a change with everything back then, oops...lol.

Someone should edit the title of this thread to "Welcome to the Fantasy Zone". Has a nice ring to it anyway.

I'm trying, but every time I have an idea for a thread, it's neo-SEGA related. I think everyone would prefer if the board remains classic-oriented.

The one thing that irks me about these boards is that the system automatically hides threads older than 24 hours and I have to change the setting everytime I visit so I can see more than just this sticky. I guess there's probably an option to turn the auto-hide off somewhere, but damn I'm lazy.

There is an option to change that my friend.

And feel free to post Neo-Sega stuff here or even in Game Paradise. :)

You can post in Game Paradise, too, you know. But for the record it is ok to post about new Sega stuff here as well.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It should be fixed now. I don't know why it wasn't saving your personal settings, but the default was, indeed, messed up.
