So this weekend is Wildcard weekend in the NFL. 8 teams trying to get that win to move into the next round.
In the NFC we have two great matchups that should prove to be good games to watch.
On saturday @6pm we have the Cowboys traveling to Seattle for what could be Tony Romo's first playoff victory of his young carreer.
We should look for Romo to have a big game. Mostly due to the fact that Seattles secondary has none of its starters playing. Look for Romo to find Owens, Glenn and Whitten several times during the game. Which will all open up for Jones and Barber to shred the birds on the ground. The Dallas D is a very stout D. Look for alot of pressure on Hasselback and expect to see Alexander taking most of the load. My prediction, Boys win 31 - 17
On sunday @4:30pm we have a bitter rivalry with the New York Giants heading only an hour and a half away to face the Philadelphia Eagles.
In their first meeting this year, the Eagles laid down in the fourth quarter and handed the game to the Giants. Allowing Eli Manning to throw at will and tie the game forcing it to OT. In their second meeting it seemed to be the opposite. It was the Giants who seemed to have been laying down all game, especially their D. With the Giants D missing some of their star players, look for the Eagles to run it down their throats. But, the Giants have an excellent weapon within TIKI. I think this game is going to be better than the superbowl. I expect alot of smashmouth football to be played. Could Garcia be the key to getting Andy Reid his superbowl ring? or could TIKI finally get his ring and retire on top? Could this be Tom Coughlins last game as the Giants headcoach? I cant say for sure but i can say its going to be a great game. My prediction, just watch the game!
In the AFC there are two good games as well. One is going to be more exciting than the other.
On saturday @4:30pm we have the KC Chiefs head to Indy to take on the Colts.
While the Colts may have a very highpowered offense, their deffense is very porus when it comes to stopping the run. If the Colts can find some way to stop Larry Johnson from shredding them to pieces, they just may have a shot at winning. The Chiefs need to concentrate on slowing Peyton Manning down. This game is going to be onesided. Just depends on which team shows up to play and which one doesnt. My prediction, the Colts win 38 - 35.
On sunday @1:00pm we have the New York Jets taking on their bitter rivals the New England Patriots.
In their first meeting this year, the Patriots took the win at Giants stadium. In their second meeting however, the Jets marched into Foxboro and handed the Patriots a loss. Both games where great games. With Jets coach Eric Mangini being Patriots coach Brian Billeck's protege', look for this game to be an all out battle royale. The Jets are a team that play very well together as a team. While the Patriots are warriors behind QB Tom Brady and can fight back from anything. I cant really so to much about this game other than its going to be the best game of this weekend. Look for some of the best football you will see in the playoffs this year. My predictions, Jets win 20 - 17.
Well thats all i have for now. Make sure you watch football and drink beer this weekend. Its the playoffs now, either you win or go home.
