So there I am, smoking some Radiant Silvergun. I'm amazed. I haven't played this game in a year since I left it at my parents house LAST Christmas. I've been playing it this week, but I'll fuck up in the first level and the 2nd level? Forget about it.
But tonight, some fucking how, I 1 life the first level, die once in the second level, and OMGWTFBBQ 1 life the 3rd level.
So there I am, face to face with the god of all shmup bosses, Xiga. I think to myself, "JP, you're about to 1CC Radiant Silvergun for the second time in your life, after having not played it for a year. You can take a pic with your phone and post it on Sestren and it'll be cool."
Ah how foolish of me. For anyone who has tasted the harshness Xiga doles out would know, you do not defeat Xiga after a year of no practice.
No my friends, you roll over on your back and you take it like a bitch. Thats what you do. I actually beat his first form without dying. But then when he started flipping up to the top of the screen and filling it which the little saw-looking bullets, he wiped me the fuck out. I didn't even get to the nutty 3rd form where he rains diamonds down on you. I wouldn't have survived. I don't have the patterns in my head. But I put up a good fight and did some good freestyle dodging. But it doesn't matter. If you don't know Xiga like the back of your hand, you will die.
There is my lament for the evening.
