this might be the best thread in all of sestren. Ice storms are great to take pictures of and look at. But suck big time when driving. There is a storm forecasted for this weekend, but its to early to really pin point whats going to happen in my area. Winter forecasting still sucks.

Yeah, I saw those, and went through that on the way home...of course a few days later, but it was still icy as heck. My aunt lives where it hit, and she was telling me some kids down the street where playing hockey in the streets, thats how much ice there was. It was really awesome looking, something right out of a fantasy movie you'd think, just crazy. Everything though was covered, and not just a light sheet, super thick, just crazy. We where lucky where I was at that it dident hit that hard, though we got a ton of rain and some ice, but it quickly turned to snow unlike what it did out there.

And how it did it makes it even crazier...speaking of that, all the damage it did to the tree's as well, some are frozen over on there sides, others broke...

Alot of those wired fences where completely frozen, I wanted to go up to one with a stick or a bat and just slam down on it and see if it'd easily break the fence or not.

Look at the ground there, it looks like rocks there, but its grass underneath,a nd its weird what the ice did, it just looks like it hailed golfballs there and they froze to the ground.

Here is not the ice storm, but where I was at the day the storm hit there, driving to my grandma's.

snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope that i get some snow here soon. but i doubt we will get any. it keeps staying all warm and then a day or 2 of cold and then back to warm.

Wow....that's some crazy weather. We've had a lot of it here in Colorado. Three huge storms in 3 weeks and another one heading our way on Friday. :(

Yeap'ers! Trees in my yard are peel'd back like a banana :~ I've got holes in the roof :SM5 just got power back on, won't last long though, wind is starting to blow.

Wow. We're getting some bad weather around here today......nothing like that, though. Slick roads and car accidents. Not so bad at work (massachusetts) but a little worse in the back woods of NH.

that storm system finally has moved out of my area. We mostly got sleet, which is probably the best kind of precipitation if you don't want problems. This thing lasted from Friday to Sunday. I'm glad its over because I got tired of getting ice off my windshield.
