What it does is, you put in all types of "importance ratings" for things like low income tax, weather, populations, crime rate, near a major university....and much more. You rate them 1-7 on importance...about 4-5 pages at 10 per page....or so. In the end it gives you a list the best cities/towns in the US for you to live in.

I think it's US only...at least all of my towns were US.

Crazy thing is...I've lived in the same town since I was 5 and the number one town on my list is the city right next to mine, which I work in :yikes:

My #1 was Santa Rosa, California..

So, which city/town in the US fits your picture of the ideal city?

yeah, I'm bored, lol...

Mine says Rochester, MN... but I disagree. Huntsville is 92... and I REALLY disagree.

See, that's the kind of one I like. Not a big city...but it fits all of your needs on the list. Like Santa Rosa, CA as my first. I think the best way to get a place like this is to take off the higher population and leave the bottom two.

Yeah, I'm not a city-boy, but CT never would have popped into my head as places I'd wanna live. I guess it makes sense though. I've lived in a pretty quiet place for a long time and I get stressed out in high traffic areas. Too much noise, too many people, too much chaos.

Maybe I should just follow the internet gods and start planning on a life in Stamford-Norwalk haha

it says san francisco is my best place and LA is my 5th best place (about 30 miles from where i am living now).

I like SF and LA, but I couldn't imagine living in either city on my own. it's very expensive. I didn't answer a lot of the questions concerning tax and stuff because i didn't understand it, and I answered all the symphonies and museums options high on my list.

at least the public transportation is okay in sf. taking the bus in la takes really long, but it seems like i always meet the most interesting people. I rated public transportation options really high.

I think that who ever made this site has a lot of land in SF to get rid of. It is high on everyone's list.
