Well, I got this off ebay by accident today. I put a bid on one that was selling incomplete (has manual, case and cd, so I don't care). I had no intentions of winning but I did. O well. 244 bucks is more than I wanted to spend on the game, but hearing jp talk about it and looking at screens in old gamefans made me wanna try it out. I'm thinking I'll like this game a lot.
At least now I won't feel as bad spending the cash on my much overdue Radiant Silvergun.

I will. I never did because of spite at myself for passing on ti long ago. Now that I laid out the bucks for this, I have to get RS
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE ELSE ON SESTREN HAS TAROMARU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you need ANY tips or ANYTHING let me know, as Taromaru is a game I WORSHIP!!!!!!! I play through it once a week if I can. I can even one life it on hard. Be sure to start off playing as Enkai (dude with the hat) as Taromaru is a bit more for "technical" players.
Fun fact:
Hiroshi Iuchii (who made RS and Ikaruga) did the boss designs for this game!!!!
Edit:
Yes, I shouted "Huzzah!" and threw my hands in the air when I saw a thread titled "Taromaru" here. Oh God dude so much awesomeness. And now I have the final boss music in my head. You know what? Since I JUST rehooked my Saturn up to my surround sound system and gave it S-Video, I'm gonna go play it now! WOOOOOOO!!!!!! Cannot wait to see how you like the game!!!!!!!!!! Fucking amazing game!!!!
And I haven't even posted my lengthy Taromaru review here yet. :SM14

I bet I'll love it. Can't wait to play.
What's funny is that when you posted things about it here and over at IGN it always sounded familiar but I had no idea what game it was. Soon as I looked into it and saw the screens, I remembered seeing it in mags back then wishing we'd get the game here. I haven't been this pumped to play a game for awhile haha.
I'll post my thoughts as soon as I get some gametime in on it.

fuck that game is 400 bucks on ebay :SM19
Eh... its only worth $400-500 if its complete. If you get it without the obi strip, reg. card, and memory cart sticker its value lowers to the $200-250 range (so bru actually got a pretty good deal).
Now I have aided in two people getting Taromaru. :D Hopefully bru loves it as much as the first dude did (I think it was captain_ahar? I might be mistaken).

I don't care about that much. As long as I have jewel case with instructions and the game of coarse in good condition I'm happy. I actually never heard about this game until you were talking about it. Looks really interesting.
