Since most of mine got destroyed in some small electrical fire a looooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. And with this semester saying "No!" to vast games that will suck me into their story, and since I'll be too broke (as I'm quitting my job and probably won't be getting paid the stupid amount of money I was, see GMA and GNA threads) to work on something crazy like the PC-Engine Duo, I figured, "Hey! Master System! Great pick-up-and-play games, and its stupid cheap!"

I've already got Power Strike, Power Strike II, Penguin Land, and all the Alex Kidds lined up. Gonna snag the Sonic games too of course. And Laser Ghost is a must. Zillion 1 and 2 as well. And Quartet. Obviously Space Harrier 3D and Zaxxon 3D. God, so many great games. I think I only had 20-30 games on the SMS before it got destroyed (entire collection didn't, but the SMS did and since Power Strike II was in it it did too, and a few other games that were around, and a lot of VHS tapes), so... I'm not entirely up-to-date on the greatness. So if you fools want to suggest some cool shizz, I'm all ears! :D

I always loved Action Fighter, Choplifter, the Wonderboy series (Dragon's Trap was my fave), Spellcaster, Black Belt, Global Defense, Fantasy Zone 1 and 2, Time Soldiers, Teddy Boy, R-Type, Rambo First Blood Part 2, Thunderblade, Astro Warrior, Outrun, Kung Fu Kid, The Ninja, Shinobi, Rastan, Hang-On/Safari Hunt....My mind runs blank.

I'd recommened Phantasy Star, Miracle Warriors and Ys, but it sounds like you're looking for quick games to pick up and play. Better versions of Ys to be had too, but it's still a great conversion.

Fantasy Zone II was amazing! :buttrock:

Out of what you listed I think I missed out on The Ninja, Teddy Boy, Global Defense, Spellcaster, Rastan, Black Belt, and... Miracle Warrior. So I will definitely be checking those out! Thanks!!!

What was the SMS answer to Zelda? I had it, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

Golvellius, Golden Axe Warrior and to some extent, Aztec Adventure.

I never owned any of these but I played a bit of Aztec and can't say that I liked it.

Everything I've read about Aztec Warrior has dissed it.

Yeah. It's just goofy. The design of it all seems so sloppy. I played it for like 15 minutes and put it down. I normally give SMS games the benefit of the doubt, but this game just begged me to stop playing.

Monday I should be getting my Master System + a handful of games.

I r teh excited. :happyhappy:

Though I spent waaaaay more than I should have. No sense in me getting this many SMS games to start off. :SM7 Shoulda just stuck with the Power Strikes, Golvellius, and the games mentioned above. :.

Nice haul there! The Ninja is one of my absolute favorite Master System games! :x

I love that poster too! I need to go through my boxes and find one to hang up in the garage with the rest of my game related poster collection! ;) I used to just stare at the other side of that poster drooling over all the games that I didn't have... and thought I would never have! Funny thing is, I think I have EVERY game on that specific poster. The second poster that came out later is the one I think I'm missing a few on.

This poster is cooler than the second because it has Space Harrier as the main focus... but After Burner is cool as heck too though! ;)

Awesome. I think you'll really enjoy the Ninja with it's shooter-esque qualities. I think I stored a lot of those posters outside of the boxes. I thought about hanging them up in my work office, but Sega is too good for that dump.
