Karous isn't out yet. Comes out next month. Impressions of the arcade game seem to suggest that it's more or less a slight reworking of Radilgy, and probably not worth it unless you don't have radilgy or REALLY love it and need more.

Last Hope is pretty alright for a homebrew. It's an impressively authentic homage to a bygone era, but it brings the bad and the good. It's got checkpoints with long gaps inbetween, it's ridiculously hard and requires perfect memorization, playing the same areas over and over again. The explosions look like bullets too which is kind of annoying.

I know you didn't ask, but Triggerheart Exelica gets the Frogacuda seal of approval. It's fresh enough and different enough to have a place in an already full library of shooters, and the bullet patterns are hectic and fun.

Triggerheart Exelica is on its way, I read some of your impressions and other people's on IGN and here. :)

So for the 2 I asked about, I'll sit back then. Thanks!

Triggerheart Exelica, I'm probably gonna give this a try too.
