*cross post* :p
OK, so I was thinking... What all anime is out there that is Sega related. I know there are quite a few, but I'm sure I don't know all of them. Figured maybe we could get a good compilation going here... So I can seek out and buy all of it!!! :p Anyway, here's what I know off the top of my head...
- Gungrave (PS2 game by Sega)
- Sonic (Sega?)
- Sakura Wars (Saturn/DC game by Sega)
- Zillion (Master System game by Sega... Also light phazer was based on this)
- Anmitsu-Hime (The anime Alex Kidd High Tech World was based on)
- Berzerk (Dreamcast game)
- Record of Lodoss War (Dreamcast game)
- Love Hina (Dreamcast game - import)
So what else is there? Anybody seen any of these? What do you think? Does it hold up well compared to the games? Which came first, the game or the anime?
Tsk tsk, no mention of the Panzer Dragoon anime? :p
As shitty as it may be. :nosay:

Berzerk is a little different than Berserk.
Don't forget the Virtua Fighter anime
Also, it's not japanese, but the Earthworm Jim cartoon is definitely great.
Berzerk is a little different than Berserk.
I really wish they would continue the series into the rest of the manga. That anime didn't even get really good until the end, and the manga is so fucking awesome. :frown:

It always seems right on the verge of picking up, but they've been trudging along to elfhelm for years now and I'm getting impatient.

There's a Shining Tears anime/movie, but I've never seen it. You could also count the new Fist of the North Star/Shin Hokuto no Ken if you wanted to get silly. I like the new FotNS.
As far as Berserk is concerned.......I can't say that I hope Miura rushes his life work. I do understand wanting it to start picking up though. I really love everything he's done with the Berserker's armor. I would really just like to see him get sweet revenge on all of the God Hand. That can never come soon enough. I hope they bring the PS2 game over here sometime so everyone in the US can get a better chance of enjoying it.
I wish they'd pick up on translating them faster for us, too. I had fan translations but it sucks reading giant scans of varying sizes. I'd rather have it my hands to flip through. I can't read Japanese, so buying the originals isn't an option.
Continued anime would also be sweet. I know a lot of Berserk fans disagree (they did cut a lot out), but it was great to see Gatts in motion. One of the best characters in all of Japanese animation/manga.....probably my favorite.

Hmm, I might check some of these out. Well, I've already seent he Panzer Dragoon one, to my dismay, and Lodoss War. Of course, there's no way I will ever watch Berserk unless they finish the story, I have too many unfinished stories in anime and gaming as is for me to want to add another.

You're such a ball buster. My love is outweighed by my laziness, I admit. I still love Berserk, though. Only reason I own a Japanese PS2 was to get the last Berserk game.
I love Skull Knight.
And thats about my primary interest in that stuff. I have all kinds of Skull Knight statues and figures.

I love the Berzerk games for Dreamcast and PS2, and I have the anime which was good until the ending... but I don't see myself spending any extra time in trying to track down translations of the comics... I'm already behind in the reading I do to worry about waiting for Berzerk translations.
And I can't believe I forgot Panzer Dragoon! :^O I have that, and I've watched it maybe TWICE!!! :p

It only came out in Japan, but I have a Japanese PS2 that I bought for the Sega AGES games, so it's one that I imported as well! Very cool game too!

I'm said I never got to play the second one. It looked awesome.

It is awesome. They changed a couple things from the manga. Unlike the DC game, it's actually within the arc rather than an additional story. Definitely worth the time and money.
The combat is much different than the Dc game. Much improved. If you love Berserk or you love hack n slash games, you will love this game.
