It was a fine TV show. Until this season and the ending capsulized how lame it got. The ending was terrible.

I watched a lot of the first couple of seasons.....nothing special to me.

I only caught on to the Show by Season 5. I think I will rent the first 3 season soon and watch them. I heard the first 3 seasons were far better.

I actually like the way it ended. Though I can see how so many people were outraged.
I have two takes on it and I like both.
1.The screen cuts out and you are left to guess what happened. Sort of a cop out, make your own ending kinda thing. I dug that.
2.After I got to thinking I realized maybe that was the ending. All these loose ends were left open. There was a lot of uncertainty. The family gets together and it just ends. It's like life, you don't always get a big bang at the end. It just goes on.
I can see how both of these can be seen as nonending, but I liked it.

Oh and this was the first season I actually watched. I keep hearing it was a lot better in the beginning. I'll have to go and check that stuff out.

edit: I just noticed the symbolism in the scene and the song. Not how the lyric was describing Carmella, and then when Perry starts signing about the city boy it shows Tony. And when it starts about the convo with Mick. The song talks about smell of wine and cheap perfume. Its really good.

Now I am in the camp of I loved the ending.
