View Full Version : New Transformers Cartoon Coming to Cartoon Network
So while the majority of us have collectively echoed our excitement over the live-action Transformers, now we can start groaning over the new animated series in the works.
But before you jump to read the interview link: you may want to get a peek at the style they've got planned and it's not what you think.

Eww, it's that newfangled teen titans/x-men evolution look.
They need to make more beast series :(

What they need to do is re-create the original series or something... recast it in HD like they did for the Original Star Trek series. I read 4 pages on that IGN article and NO ONE is enthusiastic about this at all. Catering to the younger audience... man, what does this generation know about the classic Transformers? They would have attracted a LOT more attention (with success) if they established a series with better art direction/style.

There was a point where I used to love Cartoon Network. What the fuck did they do to turn themselves into such an awful network? Their fucking shows and current lineups suck ass.
This looks and sounds horrendous.

Aye, I completely agree. I used to watch CN all the time in my youth. The way they've tumbled downhill lately is tragic. This just adds to the mess.

There is one. It's called Boomerang. Used to be really awesome, like early CN. However, they've started porting a lot of CN-created crap onto it (What's New Scooby Doo? for example), but lately I've seen more older stuff. I hope that it doesn't become a wasteland...it's like watching CN fall all over again.

CN does have one great cartoon right now: ben 10

I tried watching Ben 10 but couldn't get into it. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shake. It's too tough to watch cartoon network with all the other garbage on there.

Pfft, the only good show on CN is Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. Probably the best cartoon on TV right now.

I like Ben10 because the grandpa is voiced by good ol' Colonel Cambpell. I expect him to go "What's the situation, Snake?" at any moment.
Foster's is cool, too.
But... this???? Haven't they learned anything from Looney Tunes Xtreme?

I WILL, BUT I DESPISE CN. After the butchery of Naruto. I refuse to even pass by the channel. Thank god Comcast has the guide feature and I can just 10 channel skip past it.
AND when SeaLab was cancelled. I will never forgive them. FUCK CN. FUCK THEM IN THE ASS AND MAKE THEM HUMBLE.

CN sucks big time. I be lookin for old classic cartoons and can't find anything. Oh BTW this new revamped Batman: TAS is getting a bit overboard. I think companies like that syle because it's so simplistic and easy to use.

Yes, but shinji ... they disgraced the Ninja's with that travesty called Naruto. In my second homeland ... the japanese one is far superior. This lame one translated by Viz ... sucks shit.

They're trying to make hardcore stuff kiddy friendly ( i.e. Naruto, One Piece, and the like ). Although, discussing about Naruto ( ninjas ) and One Piece ( pirates ), and what CN/Funimation did to them, might also be thrown into another thread around here. Anyways, I hope Naruto Shippuden, if aired, would come via Adult Swim, as the stories there are a bit more harsh than the original series.
Anyways, one of my fav. online comics had something to say, or draw, in this case.

coz naruto is kiddier than harry potter!
Mister_Saturn
07-10-2007, 12:35 PM
Yeah, it starts out that way, but gets grittier from there, as the series goes on... until the anime-only fillers after a certain arc, then the kiddieness comes back.
Jap's the best, until the fillers, then Shippuden returns to reign supreme.

I don't even know if Harry Potter can be considered to kiddy anymore... it's more in the teenage range. She's killing people off left and right in those books.
