Who's seen it? What did you think?
I'm gonna give it a thumbs up, but I don't know if I enjoyed it as much as the fourth film. The directing was underwhelming; I didn't enjoy the pacing, which I thought didn't really slow down at the crucial scenes to emphasize their importance, making the whole movie seem like it had a single, fast-paced tone. And that's not the tone I felt with the book.
And who else was bummed about losing the entire "Weasley is our king" subplot??

I enjoyed the hell out of it, myself. I can't say I was bored at all throughout the whole film. Granted, I haven't read the book, but my fiance has, and she loved it too.
Fight scene at the end was bloody entertaining as hell. The effects were great, and Dumbledore and Voldemort both had awesome spells. I will say that the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that Harry completely shafted Cho after she was caught, and that's just cold. I know Harry's got a lot going on in his head, but she does have feelings, man. My fiance told me that's how the book was, if she recalled right, so I hope he comes around to her in the next one.

Ahh... the Harry-Cho relationship plays out somewhat differently in the book, although I don't know if you want me to spoil it for you in case you ever read it.
And I'd suggest reading it and the sixth book, if you enjoyed the personal parts like Harry's relationship, Ron and Hermione's individual traits, etc. There's a LOT more of that in the books than in the movies.

Order of the Phoenix is my favorite Harry Potter movie by far. I've read and finished every book as soon as it hit the shelves, so I'm a pretty harsh critic when it comes to the movies. I really didn't like the first four movies; They showed the story of Harry Potter, but they failed to capture its essence. I think they got it right this time, as I was gripping my seat most of the movie, flicking off Umbridge at every turn, and gasping in horror at things I already knew were going to happen. I thought it was fantastic, and the fight scene, wow. I never imagined it to be like that.
I've already seen it twice, and I'm thinking of going back for IMAX. In comparison, I only saw the first four once in theaters, and once on DVD. And it's funny, cause year 5 was one of my least favorite books, but the movie is by far my favorite.

I Just got back from seeing it. I have only read about half of the first book so I'm not a reader but pretty much enjoy all the movies. This one might become my favorite of the series! I loved the final battle that was just fucking sweet. The movie did start out really slow but the pace picked up. The plot was a bit unfocused but I really had a lot of fun with the movie. 4 out 5 stars :D

Itīs a good movie, you enjoy it even if you haven't (or won't) read the book. I think I've definitely fallen in love with Emma Watson after watching the order of the phoenix. She's seventeen but she's hot and she's got the attitude!!!!
:flirt: :flirt: :flirt: :flirt:
Just for the record... I'm no pedofile or anything... just enjoy and acknowledge beauty when I see it. And yes... my girlfriend knows that I've got a crush on Emma Watson.

Emma is definitely a cutie, no doubt. Once she hits 18, then she can be hot. ;)
I just saw it, great film, possibly my favorite of the 5. I have yet to read any of the books, but my wife has read them all and is about the finish 7. I told her I need to read 6 and 7 as I am not waiting for the films. Amazing fight scene.
So I am starting Half Blood Prince next week.

Emma start to look hotter/adult in the last hp movie.
IMO, the funniest part of the new Harry Potter movie was:
"When that lady slapped the shit out of him! "

Heh, sixteen's the age of consent over here anyway. ;)
I saw it by myself the other night and had a blast. Order of the Phoenix is by far my favourite book and the film did it justice, though I do think that, like the other films, it works far better as a companion to its novel than as a replacement. If you haven't read the book then you miss a lot; if you have then the film, despite the parts it cut, brings it to life admirably.
