When I was 11 I saw Howard the Duck. I thought it was awesome, well it was just on Starz. HOLY SHAT ... DID THAT SUCK!

Not only that but ILM did the SFX. THE MOVIE WAS TERRIBLE!

Anyone else see a movie back when they were younger then they watched it like 10-20 years later and realize it was the worst thing you saw on celluloid.

Read the thread description ... like I said in feedback. The title is not always what it seems.

I can't believe I'm confessing this, but...

...when I was (very) young, I thought Mannequin was a great movie. Yes, I am bowing my head in shame.

Thismay not count, since I wasn't exactly "young" at the time, but I used to like Battlefield Earth. I've since realized the error of my ways, but I used to watch the movie all the time, bought it on dvd and everything.

There squall, that might take some attention away.

Battlefield Earth was never cool. But Manniquin ... so? I liked Manniquin. Not anymore.

How about Weekend at Bernies? Anyone seen that lately?

Really? I remember The Fifth Element as being pretty good. Perhaps this warrants watching it again...

I agree! I saw in theaters and liked it. Saw some of it on tv recently and was like WTF I liked this? oh and AI rules

AI sucked. You knew when Stanleys writing was done and Speilberg took over.

Bicenntenial Man was soo good.

I know there will be some people who disagree and found it to be genius, but you know what movie sucked ass? Brazil. That thing was a complete piece of dog shit.

As a kid, I thought it was cool because it was weird. I've tried to watch it a few times since and it's like torture.

sapphire
07-23-2007, 10:35 AM
I saw it in the movie theater, perhaps I wasn't in the mood to watch it, cause I also remember it being a long, somewhat dragged out movie. Maybe I'll watch it again someday.

This is a discussion forum and it is your right to have an opinion.

In my mind Bicenntenial Man was great.

To you Sapph, it might be utter gutter trash.

My point? Don't see the movie again. If you thought it sucked before ... mosre than likily you'll hate it again.

Lost in Translation: Not Very Good

you better take that back.

And AI is shit. thats a fact. Kubrick died twice. the second, after spielberg did that piece of shit with his script.

I'm going to enrage the entire forum by saying that for me, the new Transformers movie is an "instant classic" that totally sucks but that I totally love. It has about three dozen too many cliches to be an actual good movie, and yet it is dear in my heart.

Hunter
07-23-2007, 03:02 PM
Nah, I agree. It's technically not a good movie. But I still love it to death.

And once more, Bicentennial Man RULES!! Still haven't seen AI all the way through.

Advocate

Cause half way through AI turned to fecking shat.

TF the movie was is awesome. Don't care for technicalities ... I saw a f'ing robot transform to a Ford Mustand in full stride.

When I tried watching that movie on VHS I thought it was only monkeys with that damn obelisk, I fast forwarded for about 5 minutes but they never went away so I turned off the Jane Goodall Jerkfest.

I was really excited to see The Black Daliah, after buying the DVD and watching 15 minutes of it I couldn't stand the acting and turned it off.

I fast forwarded the enirety of 2001, so I sort of saw the whole the thing.

I just watched Lost in Translation again yesterday. I think it's the awesome. It conveys emotion extremely well. And it's quite funny, too.

Hm...bad movies. I'll have to come back with an answer...one isn't entering my head.

Bicentennial Man-Love Robin Williams but worse movie he has done.Care to repeat that for me? :SM40

Haha, just kidding- but honestly I'd like to know why you'd go so far as to call it his worst movie (because we all know Robin's been in some stinkers...). I think it's one of the most touching big-budgets Hollywood's ever released...keep in mind I saw it on video years after it came out with no expectations.

Anyway, when I was little my friends got me hooked on Monster Squad: no way I'd sit through it now though
