in the first 15 years of his career his best home run season was in 93, he hit 46, in those 15 years he had a total of 445 home runs.

from 2000-2006 shattered his personal season record, while breaking the mlb record with 73 in 01....in total 289 home runs in those 6 years.


he has 22 home runs this year. bringing his total since 2000 to 311.


hes now about 43 years old...this explosion of home runs came around the age of 37.

I'd like to see someone explain such an explosion at the end of his career.

Rod and I had a talk about this last night as I'm a less of a Barry hater than others and I know he did roids there is no way to deny that. Barry is part the steroid era and by far one of the most talented players ever in MLB. The media attacks him at every corner personal wise not just steroid part, which pisses me off. That book about him cheating on his wife all this shit to make him out to a shitty person (which is probably is) is still wrong and just a way from the media to a make a bad person even worse. That shit just pisses me off. What I didn't realize though is what Rod showed me is when you stop using roids your body shrinks and Barry looks about the same has the late 90s early 00s. I was thinking that that didn't happen and Barry was off them now but I guess he probably is still on them which is bullshit. Ah well whatever..

As long as he stays healthy he will break it. Call him whatever you want, he is one of the best players I have ever seen. His contract is absolutely insane, no doubt. I still think he has something to prove in the playoffs (at least for the Yankees - I think he did well in Seattle).

I really don't like Bonds, but he has the record.

Hey both Bonds and A-Rod are great players, but they aren't what you would call nice guys. McGuire didn't fool anyone, he was on the juice, but he was a nice guy!

It doesn't excuse what he did, but had Conseco been pursing a record of some kind, he would've suffered the hate just like Bonds did.

Overall, Aaron didn't look like he worked out. Hand/eye coordination and bat speed were his secret. The Babe? Well I guess Boilermakers have their good points! They played with what abilities they had, these new guys are good and even great, but as someone pointed out, Bonds got his groove on late in his career right when the accusations began. Coincidence? I doubt it!

The only numbers that matter in sports are wins, losses and number of championships. I've had enough of listening to people whine about this crap on the freaking sports radio in the middle of the night. Sports are just entertainment. Homeruns are apparently entertaining. If his head ends up as large as a watermelon due to HGH while entertaining people with his baseball smashing, that's his problem. And besides, it's not your body that is being altered and fucked with, it's theirs.....

In the end, baseball pitchers and managers are fucking scared shitless of a 43 year old man with really good hand/eye coordination. He should play till he's fucking 70 and should shove more HGH up his ass until they have enough balls to pitch to him.
