Wow, that voice is going to freak me out. Robot adventures are always fun, though.

OLD

But yeah, this movie looks like it will be awesome. Pixar has never made a bad flick IMO.

But I would still like to see hand-drawn animated movies coming back. CGI alone a good movie does not make. (Everyone's Hero and Monster House, anyone? Dinosaur?)

I enjoyed Monster House very much . . .

But honestly, they do need to stop with the CG. Pixar should be the only company out there making CG cartoons.

Uhm ... it takes longer for hand drawn. And when Pixar took over the Disney board they did announce 5 hand drawn projects.

Monster House was good but yeah I remember when it was a big event when a CG film came out. Now its the new medium for kid/family flicks

And 99% of the non-pixar ones are crap. The few good ones:

Monster House: 8.0

Ice Age: 8.0

Ice Age 2: 7.0

I have yet to see Surf's Up, but I'm not getting my hopes up after the debacle that was Happy Feet.

I loved Happy Feet. *shrugs* To each their own.

I won't argue that Pixar is the master of the CG film, though. :bucky:

No one does great CG movies like Pixar does.... NOBODY. That said there are still good CG movies out there like Shrek, Happy Feat, Robots etc.

Of course than you have Sharktale and Hoodwinked etc which while good/decent, they are not the grand slams that Pixar keeps nocking ot of the park.

I thought Ratatouile was a great flick but not nearly as good as the recent Cars, Incredibles and Finding Nemo movies. This newest one does not look to reverse the trend. When I heard them talk about this new movie and the guy was like " And this was one of the titles originally pitched along with.... yadda yadda yadda." I was a bit timid at the thought that this bottom of the barrel pitch is what is now being made into a movie. I'm sure Pixar will do a solid job, but it really becomes hard to one up yourself when you have improved liek Pixar has with each successive title.

I can't bring myself to watch more than 10 minutes of Shrek. Happy Feet is a 6/10 IMO, and Robots 7/10.

I preffered Ratatouille to cars, however, IMO Cars is their weakest film to date. And dude, you COMPLETELY missed what they were trying to say. This is isn't bottom of the barrel. This is up there with the greats. This is supposed to Toy Story caliber and I believe it, something about it, even in the short bit I've seen, strikes me as amazing. I can feel it in my bones, this movie will be AWESOME.

I thought Ratatouile has been their weekest offering when compared to the most current 5 films. Cars is a great flick IMO. My favorite is probably Nemo though.

I do hope that this next film is a huge hit and their best yet.... I have just not seen or heard anything that makes me believe that thought.........yet.

I felt The Incredibles were weaker than Cars. And I hope to see Ratatouille soon, my nephew said it's pretty interesting.

As far as im concerned The Incredibles is the pinacle of Pixar. Nothin compares to it. But im a comic book geek so.....

But really, even Pixar's weakest is better than most studios strongest.
Im looking forward to Wall*E

I agree. "The Incredibles" is one of the few movies not based on existing superheroes which managed to thoroughly entertain me (another being "Unbreakable"). It doesn't feel like an imitator, but a genuine article that stands on its own two legs. I truly enjoyed it.

Now that is the truth my friend. They really are an amazing studio. The level of quality they put out in each film is very high.

<----crosses fingers for Wall*E

Actually, since Disney gobbled up Pixar, John Lasseter has pushed the revival of traditionally animated cartoon shorts starting with new Goofy's "how to" shorts. I'd rather see Looney Tunes return (they were always funnier) in short cartoons, not that Roger Rabbit wannabe bullshit, but a return of either studio's classic characters in shorts is a great thing.

By the way, the plot of Wall E kind of reminds me of Vectorman.
