roommate and I just rented it for a week (since it sounds like the SP is about 6 hours long only :o) Who else is getting it maybe we can hook up for some MP (sadly there is no co-op online or even offline! Not even 2 players on the same system can be online!)

CJG/Luminous already has and is playing it right now. Personally I am pretty torn now over this game for a couple reasons.

1. No online co-op.
2. Short as fuck single player campaign (if its only 6 hours).

Those two combined really has me wanting to wait for a price drop. Its kinda like Shadow Run was for me. I was pretty hyped till I figured out is was a chopped down version with limited functionality. Call me spoiled but I expect at least 10+ hour campaigns and/or some form of co-op online out of my FPS games. This game has neither and its hard to justify 60 bucks on something like that.

Well, I sold a ton of copies of it today.

I don't know. I'm going to be passing on it. Something about it just screams 'generic' to me. A lot of games seem to be doing that these days, though.

I'm sure it's pretty decent.

Not my cup of tea.

Looks pretty good to me. I might do what I did on CoD2, which was wait until the price dropped before I get it. I thought I'd hate it but the single player was pretty great.

Being around 6 hours long, I'd definitely rather wait. I still need to finish up Tomb Raider Anniversary and Assassin's Creed is right around the corner.

generic would be the Medal of Honor games...uck although I agree too much military themed games but so far game is really good. Infinity Ward's Call of Duty games are always enjoyable to me. Haven't bothered with multilayer yet but the beta was quiet fun.

I want it. But I guess any game looks good to me since I can't play any :(

Thats pretty much my thoughts. It looks like its probably really cool for what it is... but I'm not jumping up to buy it.

Granted, I think I'm pretty much just FPS'd out. I mean, Halo 3 was just this... fucking... crazy concentration of "awesome", with so many features and so much stuff to do. And then I jumped into Orange Box, which had Portal and with which I played through Half-Life 2 for the first time, and those were pretty damn good too.

So... with Cod4 I'm just like... I've already played a bunch of FPSs... I kinda just wanna play my Saturn now for the rest of the year.

Mass Effect will be awesome.

I couldn't give less of a fuck about Assassin's Creed.

well I won't get it when it comes right now (thats left for Mass Effect :D ) but since it seems related to the Prince of Persia games of last generation, which I loved, I had to get it. Why does it not interest you at all?

I had no interest in the Prince of Persia game either.

I don't know, Assassin's Creed just doesn't look interesting to me. It never has. It looks painfully boring truth be told.

AC looks pretty hot, but I'm almost glad the PC version is a few months away. I'm too busy right now.

I played a few missions from the campaign last night. I like it, but sometimes it is not easy to figure out which way to go.

I also played a few online matches with Cystic and there were already people that knew the maps and had better weapons (better scope for the most part). I do like how you can see who killed you and how they got you while you are waiting to respawn. It is a totally different experience from Halo, but a good one. Plus there is a party system and when you jump into an online match you stay with the people in your party.

My only problem with it is there is already an uneven playing field. When you jump in as a new player you have limited options available to you. You get some options pretty quick, but still not everyone has access to all weapons immediately.

All of the achievements are campaign related, which might want you to play through on the higher difficulty levels and to find the other achievements.

Good game and besides I got CoD3 (Gold edition) for free with it at Circuit City. I will probably sell it, but it was a free game.

Edit: Oh yeah no online co-op is WEAK!

I just used my COD4 money to get a NeoBitz component encoder with rgb pots. So, no cod4 for me....at least for a while, but at least I can build a supergun :)

I have no interest in playing it if there isn't an online co-op. All I can say is YAWN!!!!

Someone will do a co-op mod.

I hate how lazy devs are about making fans do co-op for them. The developers of Crysis actually went as far as to say in an interview that they weren't doing co-op because they were releasing the SDK and they knew the fans would do it.

Better than nothing, though.

Well I had an audit to attend to all day long yesterday so by the time I got off work and over to CC thier supplies had dried up and thus I could not get the two game meal deal.

That was my only real motibvation to pick it up right away. With that past now I will be waiting on a price drop to 50 or less before I pick this up.

Too bad... so sad. :(

Ok so here I sit eating crow.... but it does taste nice! Turns out that in addition to my unexpected raise I am getting a completely new job/position and its a sizable promotion. It also means moving to Minnesotta and a whole lot more money which is why I said fuck it and bought CoD4 collectors edition and Scene It yesterday. Well the double points and 10% off coupon also helped motivate me.

So yeah I have it..... and a bazillion other games so finding time for them all will be difficult but fun.

Thanks.... its still kinda scray... yet exciting too. I just can't wait to hear the details... ie exactly how much more money and what they plan to do about relocation expenses. I got a feeling this will be my first move ever where they pay for and do all the shit for me...... FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah........also a very good question. Do you enjoy donkey-kicking the icicles off your man-tits? I feel body heat if overrated. Long live struggling through discomfort.

Newport is into winter sports, so he should be fine. Plus it's a hell of alot cheaper than living in San Fran!

Congrats, now living closer to me, I can go up and pay you a Rezzin visit!

beat the game yesterday. Really enjoyable single player. I didn't really like it was too short because its constantly a battle through most of those short hours. There was a really shocking moment about half way through the game. I won't say anymore but its :o moment thats for sure.

ending was pretty weak but I wasn't expecting much from a call of duty game. So far I'd say Halo 3 sp> CoD 4 sp, but I'm having more fun with MP on CoD than halo. Also for the lower levels I'd say yes the higher levels do have some upper hand I still feel like the upgrades on the guns are not that big of deal. You can always pick up a gun from a dead player anyways.
