Hey newport or cjg, how about sending your boys at Bungie a copy and show them how co-op is REALLY done! I'll pitch in!

Great news indeed as Vegas brought the franchise back to greatness.

You can just take the money you were going to use to buy Halo 3 and buy a second copy of R6V to send to them for research.

Now If Ubisoft could just figure out that spawning enemies on your head is about the most retarded thing you can do in a game they might actually be able to move their bar closer to the one Bungie set with Halo oh so many years ago.

There was a d/l, somewhat recently, that keeps them from spawning on top of you, but they still have some sudden appearances. Just got keep your weapon raised...

I'll be picking this up DAY ONE so I don't miss out AGAIN! :)

You never played R6V?

Hmm......4 player co-op in Halo 3 is pretty sweet.

I did enjoy R6V a lot so I will probably be picking this one up.

I played it... for like, 10 minutes or so. :frown:

And now everyone has moved on to other things, so I'll just wait for R6VII.

Omg, this just made my day. I've never been so addicted to a game in my life as I was with R6.

San Francisco — November 20, 2007 — Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that it is developing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Vegas 2 for next-generation consoles and PC. Developed at Ubisoft Montreal by the same team that created the award-winning Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas, the highly anticipated sequel is scheduled for a March 2008 release. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the sixth iteration in the wildly successful Rainbow Six franchise which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2008 with more than 16 million units sold worldwide to date.

“Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas took the gaming world by storm in 2006 thanks to its technological advances and gameplay innovations,” said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer at Ubisoft. “We are convinced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will remain a pioneer in the highly competitive first person shooter genre, bringing more of what Rainbow Six fans love to the table.”

The highly anticipated sequel to the winner of numerous awards, including IGN’s 2006 Best First Person Shooter and Best Online Game, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will push the franchise to new heights by adding new gameplay features and even more stunning visuals. Players will encounter an intense solo campaign that uses new tactical possibilities in various locations around Sin City. As expected with one of the pioneer franchises for online multiplayer Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will also break new ground in both co-op and adversarial modes, while providing unprecedented interaction between the solo and multiplayer modes.

I recommend you guys still try out the first one, as the single-player campaign is awesome, and the terrorist hunt is a blast with friends.

I always hated Rainbow Six, but I never tried the more recent ones. I should give them a shot as I hear the series has changed a lot.

I tried the recent ones and they still didn't appeal to me. I don't like the squad games like these. I can see their appeal, but they don't work for me.

I'd have to say pso on the DC was the most addicting game I've ever played...by far! lol

As for Rainbow Six II: The Bright Chronicles (lol) I'll have to wait and see. Is it more like GRAW or COD?

These games (on missions especially) have ALWAYS required you and others to choose the right weapons(silencers, stun, tear, or smoke grenades) and tactics to make it work. Also someone MUST ALWAYS WATCH ALL OF YOUR BACKS! What usually happens is that once the shooting starts, the person supposedly watching you back turns to "help" us only to have the terrorists come up from behind and kill us all. As much as I hate to do it, I give those that can't watch their post the boot! Cowboys and stat hounds (those that only care about their personal stats) will get you killed as well as the hostages.

I don't know if you own a 360 Frog, but if you do rent the game and follow me. Just watch my back...

when I get a 360 I promised Mantis I would play co-op with her. I loved the Rainbow Series ... except Lockdown and Critical Hour.

wtf were they thinking with those games?

But Vegas was like going back to their roots and making it tactical and putting the team ahead of any ONE person.
