What? You get a bunch of crappy FMV games and some good stuff like Soul Star, the Lunar games, and Popful Mail.

With the PC-Engine CD? Shiiiiit, you had shooter heaven. You have so many good games that I don't even know what they are because I only ever owned shooters for mine. But by God them shooters were fecking great.

Yeah, you Sega CD nerds got Lords of Thunder, THE SHITTY version. But we had Nexzr, and Nexzr was awesome. We also had Star Parodia, and Sapphire (which was made by the REAL Tecno Soft crew), and a bunch of other shooters.

So yeah! PC-Engine CD 4 life! Them bitches at FEKA can snuck it, because the real CD gaming experience is was spelled N-E-C. Bitches.

Agreed. The SCD has a few good games, while the PCE CD had true gems like Spriggan and RayXanber 3.

However.... Snatcher in english>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anything on the PCE CD.

I'm inclined to agree, but I'd have to think about it for a bit. It might be that the lack of truly awful American games on the PCE-CD are flattering it, since there ARE a lot of great Sega CD games if you wade through the shit.

The Turbo CD is better overall but yeah, Snatcher, Sonic CD, Keio Flying Squadron, Earthworm Jim: SE, Batman Returns (for the racing), Popful Mail, Lunar series, Android Assault, Robo Aleste, Heart of the Alien, Shining Force CD, Dune, Final Fight, Rise of the Dragon, Time Gal, etc. is a quality line up.

Well, my initial post was primarily satirical, as I own and love my Sega CD very much.

Of course. Props on the use of a Johnny Turbo ad reference. :)

Anybody played Ghost Manor (hucard) on the PCE? I just wonder if the directives at NEC usa weren't smoking exhaust pipe shavings.

Heart of the Alien sorta sucks, except for containing a decent version of the original.

Another game I've always wondered about (Heart of the Alien). So it's complete garbage? Is it just bad level design or did they somehow jack up the gameplay? You were the alien friend in that one, right?

I haven't really played anything on an actual PC Engine. I was given a model 2 Sega CD but haven't hooked it up yet because I've got nowhere to put it.

I agree with you jp, but the fact Sega CD has Snatcher voids all that talk.

Duo games are great, but honestly I play more hucards than CDs. A core grafx is all I need.

I bought my Sega CD brand new in 97, and still only own 5 games, my duo is similar, I only wanted to get CD imports like Bonk 3 and Air Zonk, since the hucards are too damned expensive.

Yes, it's lame.

It sucks compared to the original but I think it's pretty good on its own merits.

Yeah, you play as the Alien. The levels aren't as creative, it's more gruesome and it's not by the original maker. I would liken it to an expansion pack than a true sequel.

Not enough that I felt inspired to finish it.

Yes, I have learned to love the PC Engine. Great games, and
an awesome system.
