A computer scientist/ Commodore 64 enthusiast named Toni Westbrook is working on the project. He started by creating an adapter for the guitar controller. Now he is in the process of developing an actual game, called Shredz64, to play with the controller.

It's obviously a simplistic interpretation of the game play, but cool none the less. There hasn't been an update since June, in which he stated the project had become side tracked by real world responsibility (the death knell for many enthusiast projects). I'd kinda like to see this completed, only because I'm a dork for this kind of thing.

Dare I ask why?

According to Toni, he attended the World of Commodore convention in 2006, saw all the "cool" mods people were doing for their systems and decided to get involved.

I know you're no stranger to weird people who won't give up their outdated computers, Frog. This guy says he saw projects for network adapters, online games, MIDI interfaces, and others at the expo. Apparently there's still a following.

Or did you mean why do I care? I like seeing the wacky tech guys do their pointless work.

I for one find that incredibly cool for some odd reason.
