The Sickness Is Back!

I dont think i've ever hated video games as much as I do now, there is just nothing at all that interests me in them anymore, well besides story and music, but screw playing through it just to hear new music and learning the story. Games are dead to me now, absolutly dead. I've barely played one of the games i was looking forward to most to playing, i've barely played any of my XBLA games that i got recently, and I have no desire anymore. No desire to beat JP's stupid computerized cheating high scores, I just dont care to play. Not online even either, cancled my Xbox Live, it has a few days left. Gave my 360 to Darth, it will be with be for those remaining XBL days I have left, not that i'll play it. I played two soccer matches in the last 3 weeks, thats been it. I used my 360 today though as a DVD player, w00t to that. :p

There is two things that might be able to save me, if I ever got Mass Effect, that might do the trick, GRAW 3 would certainly do the trick, and maybe HAWX.

Otherwise, bye bye video games, nice knowing you, but screw you now! lol.

that's pretty normal i think. my interest in games comes and goes, I'm not like I was when I was a kid anymore. Just take a break.

I'll find no interest in games whatsoever for months, and then all of a sudden a game will grab my attention and I'll play the living piss out of it.

There is some cool stuff on the 360 horizon such as Too Human and Soul Calibur IV. Those are two that I am interetsed in anyways.

It's funny, I went through a long phase of pretty much playing only sports games, a few fighters and not much else. That was during the end of the PS1 and Saturn era. The DC made me love gaming the way I did when I was real young (Atari 2600 days) and now the Xbox and Xbox Live has continued that. I just wish I was 10 years younger....lol......



You'll get the hunger back M2D eventually. If not I will banish you to the land of non-gamers where you will be forced to play mini-games on the Wii with soccer moms and senior citizens for eternity.

It happens man. I go for weeks without ever touching a videogame these days (though I do use the 360 A LOT to watch movies).

Yeah, see i've had it happen in the past, but lightly, where i just dident feel like playing anything and would indeed go awhile without playing. But now its just like ughhhh, why even bother, I dont care to, its weird, lol.

Strange timing to, with when my 360 died, right up about a week before that, I was on a roll, renting games, having fun, loving every moment, and then i sent it away to get fixed, first 3-4 days where horrible, and then I got it back and dont even care to tough it and its lasted a long time. Now when I was on my trip after I got my 360, i played wii, of course it was sports though, i can always play sports, but the wii sports was freakin fun, i enjoyed that, but after that nothing. :(

Who knows though, im sure you are right when you say the hunger for it will return, and we shall see. I know somehting will probably click with me to want to get back into a certain game, lol.

I dunno, I get tired of videogames a lot anymore. Sometimes I wonder if its because I'm older, sometimes I wonder if its because things really just AREN'T as good as they were back when Sega didn't suck anus. I'm leaning towards the latter though since I can still find myself hooked to the Saturn/Dreamcast at times.

Dude, stuff coming out or not, it dosent matter to me, I havent played any of the good games or ones I had interest in that have already come out. Like I mentioned, Mass Effect being one, that was a game I looked forward to playing most, and I havent been able to play it yet. Now of course I think money problems might play a small role in that as well, but bleh dude, I dont know.

I was thinking of trying to push myself one last time into one of my favorite all time games playing some KOTOR tonight, see if that gave revive my gaming heart.

Video games suck, that's all there is too it. We all have passing phases, where we convince ourselves otherwise, but the media really is just snowballing downward into existence.

Just kidding :p . We do all go through this phase though, and some more then others. It used to happen to me a lot more when I worked at EB, overexposure or something I guess. Not to mention that this year has been pretty lame so far. especially compared to last year's offerings. No worries, you'll find some magical game that will hook it's talons into you again sooner or later.
