The functionality, however, rules (in terms of Live Party). It's an 8 player private chat. No one else even has a 2 player private chat... this is big news...

A side bit of "random" is the watching videos together... but you know. I wish the Avatars didn't look lame as hell.. makes the 360 look too kiddy... The world doesn't need another console catering to kiddies when they aren't doing the majority of game buying...

At least PlayStation Home avatars don't look like Miis... More mature, though still lame.

Pretty meh TBH. FFXIII is good news, but not that big. it wouldve been really meaningful if it was 360 exclusive. Fable 2 looks awesome. Mii60's are shit, and the new dashboard and xbox live looks meh. Nice to know about rockband2, but its nothing ultraexciting or unexpected, same for GH. GoW i dont give a fuck, and Fallout could be GOTY, but that was known already. Hopefully nintendo and sony have better showings.

Play from hard drive. You'll be able to copy game discs to your Xbox 360 hard drive. Installing the games will prevent wear 'n tear on the disc drive, and will shorten load times. You will still need the disc in the disc tray to prove you own the game. Hopefully, installing things on the Xbox 360 will come with sage advice, a la Metal Gear Solid 4.
Access Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web. If you're not near your Xbox 360, you can still use this "Internet" thing to browse and purchase things from the Marketplace. Once you purchase something from Xbox.com, it will download automatically to your console while you're away.
Xbox LIVE Primetime. This is a "whole new category of games" that not only supports Achievements and leaderboards, but will also offer real prizes. Games are played throughout the Xbox LIVE network and each game is "broadcast simultaneously" so that everyone is partaking in the same activity. Not liking the kiddie avatars one bit, but if we can keep our gamer pics, no harm done, I guess. As for the xbox channel thing, looks a bit plain. I liked the sliding windows we had before. Not really a huge deal to me, though. As long as it the update doesn't kill my 3rd Xbox, it's cool with me. I'm just happy they've added private chat for up to 8 people. It makes playing online with random people much more appealing to me since you can just talk to your buddies and leave the annoying chatter out of it.
