Tacked on the end of the trailer in this page:

Interesting... I guess they figured no one would buy it for 360 in Japan anyway :)

And the main point for having a FF game on 360, selling consoles in Japan, is dead.

I'm pretty sure the main point is to keep a foothold in America. Remember the FFVII effect?
The same game available on the PS3 and 360 in Japan wouldn't do anything for Microsoft... if it were exclusive, it'd help though.
I understand the move TBH

I understand it, but i believe its wrong. 360 needs big games that are meaningful to japanese to star moving some units. Blue Dragon and Lost Odissey might be awesome, but theyre not big names. Microsoft cant make a move towards industry leadership without Japan, and as it is, with more games coming out, PS3 is more than likely to overtake the second place in global sales.
Honestly, this E3 for MS is more about grabbing the European market and holding it down. I think they'll wait to see how Star Ocean 4, Infinite Undiscovery, and Tales of Vesperia do for the 360 in Japan before making another move though.

But that might not be enough. Halo 3, GoW and all the good games theyve released there will not be enough to overcome GT5 when it releases on PS3 in Europe. If they dont have something bigger and meaningful in Europe too, PS3 will overtake them there as well.

As much as I hate Phil Harrison, the man was right about one thing:
Europeans eat up stupid party games and shit like Singstar, quiz games, etc.
It was very obvious to me that that is who MS is trying to get at with all their music games and by getting all the music people under them.
Also, Lips is probably going to be retardedly successful in Japan.

Yup, but Ps3 still offers a good selection of it, and no matter what, they prefer GT over anything. If you dont have big name exclusives to go with those stupid party games, they will choose the console that does have them.
And, the big name exclusives are starting to come out on the PS3 camp. So, Xbox needs to grab games that are associated with Sonys brand to take market away from them. Thats not done with halos and gears of war. The guys that want to play those games already have a 360. and if they buy a new one, is because their older one broke. I just think what theyre doing is not enough.
With that said... WTF Molyneux!!! if fables ready, give it to me now dammit!!!!!!!

Microsoft wanting to pace the releases I guess :).
Fable 2 will rule!
We shall see. I don't necessarily think what MS is doing will work mind you, but I understand WHY they're doing it.
Though I would've figured they would have shown Forza 3 in order to cut into GT5 some this go round, no idea why they didn't.
And yes, Fable 2 looks like sheer bliss. It and Gears of War 2 made the show for me.

There's still more for the rest of the show... that was just the 1.5 hours they had for the confrerence... Forza 3 should be coming, Bungie's new title should be coming, we didn't hear anything about Rare's new XBLA title (read: not Banjo 1). There's still more to come. Then again perhaps they are holding off for another event...
I just want new Mistwalker. Thats all I give a shit about. Show us Cry On. Show us Blue Dragon 2. Announce Lost Odyssey 2. Something. :frown:
Aside from Away and ASH.

You're not at E3. So, how the hell do you know what Mistwalker is NOT showing. You have to realize most of the shit on the web is centered on the Big 3 conferences. Mistwalker for all we know is being shown. But all the reporters are ambling around waiting for the next conference.
You had a chance to ask the people going to check it out for you ...
Bahn, Frog, Ammadeu, James, and a few more GN staff guys. You could have asked. On TNL they are telling people they are just waiting for the confernece. And a couple of people on the forums are asking them to check out certain games for them.
Also, TNL's main page has constant updates on E3. More so than Kotaku and Joystiq.
also: mistwalkers major details - X'08 Conference in August.

Well, if you actually read my posts, then like, you would note that I'm primarily talking about Microsoft's big conference, in which they showcased Squeenix and didn't give Mistwalker any time at all at the main conference.

You do realize in America Square is a bigger deal than Mistwalker.
But I bet ... no guarentee that Microsoft is waiting for THEIR conference in August to really show off their wears.
You do realize that Microsoft helped build Mistwalker? And... I don't know... maybe showcasing a your own company that will be making exclusives for your system...

read my edit.
I'm sure they will show off some stuff at their show.
But it still would have been nice for them to give Mistwalker some spotlight at their RPG Day or at E3, especially after Lost Odyssey turned out to be waaaaaaaaaay more successful than Blue Dragon.

E3 is not YOUR conference. E3 is where everyone is there.
Microsoft's X shows are for the "fans". So, there they will debut a bunch of shit.
Also: isn't E3 the one that they wanted to get rid of the fan element and focus it back on the industry? If so ... which I know it is ... why the FUCK would MS throw EVERYTHING THEY HAD on the table?
btw: not mad. I'm just trying to grasp the logic here.

okay I understand now.
Yeah, it would be COOL. But srs ... X'08 is where they will show shit. Also, remember the developers hated the E3 show. They had to stop what they were doing to show off tech demos and shit. X'08 is so far off ... they could do something by then.
But Advocate, they've already been working on Blue Dragon 2 for around a year now (supposedly) and they've been working on Cry On, which is supposed to be a really big deal for Mistwalker, for several years.

X'08.
Developers hate the fact they have to stop in mid production(alpha or beta) and make a "damn demo to be shown". It's well documented that developers hate it. They'd rather just make the game. Finish it and let the game speak for itself and not make a demo for everyone to go ohh and ahh and maybe Sony will steal the damn tech.
Dude... we're talking about JRPGs here. No demo. Just a movie. :p

exactly.
The movie they showed FF13 was the same movie they showed 2 years ago.
So we should have seen a Blue Dragon 2 and/or Cry On movie!!!!!!! :p
