And of course, the legend itself:

I generally don't like Cave (hell, I generally don't like manics), but there's something about Ketsui's aggressive play style when going for score thats really got me excited. This and Ketsui DS are seriously my two most anticipated games right now.
let me know when it hits the US. :(
5PB did mention international players at some point... so either they're going to not region lock this or they're already planning a US release.
Honestly though, I wouldn't hold my breath for a US release. I think people sent a pretty strong message with Senko no Ronde in the US. :flat:

region free or us release.....doesn't matter. Either one is good enough for me :)
IMO, Ketsui wouldn't sell well here anyways...but I'd buy it if it did.

I will buy a 360 if either of these is the case.
I want to know now, though. Just spill the beans on this shit, Cave.
Well... its not Cave. Its 5PB. They're the ones doing it.
Incidentally, the only ports Cave ever handled were DonPachi and DoDonPachi on the Saturn. Everything else was either done by Arika or Taito.

Well, yeah, I knew (or assumed) they weren't doing it but for some reason I had this picture of them still ultimately wearing the pants. Similar to how Arika's DS game was shown in any real detail for the first time at the Cave Festival, I guess.
So this is cool:

Its Sakari Masaki from 5PB checking out Raiden IV (he was invited by Moss to play test it before the release).
If the 5PB guys take notes from Raiden Fighters Aces, I think we're going to be sitting pretty with Ketsui X and DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou Black Label.

I would buy probably buy anything Ketsui.
Pro-Gear, Ketsui, and DDP D-O-J all are gems.
I would kill for a home port of ProGear. Doubt it will happen though since I think Capcom and Cave hold the rights jointly.
Never played much of DDP:DOJ, but I've never been a fan of the 'Pachis. Just don't like the scoring system.
Ketsui looks amazing though. I can't wait to finally play it. :drooling:
So how does scoring work in Ketsui? I've honestly never read up on that. In manic shooters I usually have my hands full (and quite a bit of fun, still) just trying to survive.
Get as close as you can to enemies when you kill them. This gives you the "5 block", which adds to your multiplier counter at the top left thats constantly ticking down.
And then when you fight the bosses you want to kill all the pieces as close as possible to it, so when you kill the boss the multiplier applies to it.
