The game will arrive at retail this fall with all of Halo 3's 24 multiplayer maps. This includes The Heroic Map Pack (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/25/friendly-reminder-halo-3-heroic-maps-free-today/), The Legendary Map Pack (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/15/are-you-buying-the-halo-3-legendary-map-pack/), Cold Storage (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/03/well-halo-there-cold-storage-map-free-on-july-7/), The Mythic Map Pack (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/30/halo-3-mythic-map-sandbox-dug-up-dusted-off/) (set for release this spring on XBLM and bundled with Halo Wars (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/halo-wars) CE), and three new maps exclusive to the Halo 3: ODST package.

Yeah, it's kinda messed up they are promoting both Halo titles for this year with the same map pack though.

It makes sense actually. If you're not a fan of RTS, you can always get it this way.

The Mythic Pack will be released before ODST though, I would say somewhere near 5 months earlier.

I can't see how this is a bad thing, I always like having the maps on a disc as well as on my HDD. That is why I bought the Halo 2 map pack disc.
