Recently formed (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/14/ensemble-studios-founder-creates-robot-entertainment/) Robot Entertainment has answered the question of who's going to support Halo Wars (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/halo-wars) after its launch on March 3: the people who made it. Robot -- created by ex Ensemble Studios (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ensemble-studios) staff, including its founder, Tony Good -- will not only provide online support and community management for the Halo universe RTS, but will be working with Microsoft Game Studios to create future content for the game.

Robot will also be working with MGS on the Ensemble-created Age of Empires franchise going forward, with the intent to handle support for current and future titles in the series. In a release (http://www.robotentertainment.com/PressRelease.htm) issued today, the developer also announced that it has begun work on a new project based on an original IP. Given the various unannounced projects (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/02/closing-time-ensembles-unannounced-titles-revealed/) revealed when Ensemble closed its doors, we wouldn't be at all surprised if this new game isn't an RTS.

Then what was the point of dismantling Ensemble in the first place? XD

They consolidated them. That seems to be MS new thing, less people to do the same amount of stuff.

They need to bring it to 360 with the Halo Wars control scheme.

They could work as XBLA titles.

That may be true, but it's still shitty. :frown:

I know it's just text... but Ensemble's logo is much better than Robot's :)
