I got some bad news last night. The Playstation store in the Metreon is closing and they wont be doing a midnight launch for KZ2. I was really hoping that they would after how cool the R2 midnight launch party was. Oh well hopefully EB will if I cant find it anywhere else early.

Damn Hunter laying down the law. I did try to keep most of it to the hype thread, but if there is something that I think people would be interested in I give it its own thread since I figured most people dont check in their to often. I dont understand why it would matter if there were 100 threads dedicated to the same game. All people have to do when they visit the boards is click new posts to see what they might have missed and then click on what ever might interest them. I never understand trying to appease a few complainers when all they have to do is not click on stuff they are not interested in. How many Halo 3 threads were ther before that game came out? I would think more threads = more posts which is supposedly what people want, unless I am missing something. Would this have been better if this were a 360 exclusive everyone was interested in?

Well, i know there are a lot of threads for different games, like there were for Halo. But the last few have served no purpose other than, Hey Look! A Thread About Killzone 2!!!. Which is ultimately just SPAM.

If you have something you genuinely feel requires it's own thread, thats one thing, but just making a thread for no other reason than to put Killzone 2 in the title is SPAM.

Honestly, I've been itching to get some Retro Game Challenge discussion going on around here, thats a very unique and awesome game, but I've been too busy as of late.


Now, when Ketsui X and Death Smiles come out, then fuck yes I will post in each game's respective thread. :)


In so far as the topic at hand (KZ2 threads = spam), obviously, I agree with Hunter. The only other times some shit like this got pulled was with NiGHTS and Halo 3, both of which wound up havng all threads merged into one giant thread, and both of which attracted interest from more than two people on the boards. ;)

Because I asked you to limit your Killzone threads to threads that have a reason to exist?

Honestly, it seems like lately you've just been looking for reasons to get angry at all the "Sony Haters". It makes no sense, since aside from me, jp, and Advocate, there really aren't any. I haven't even said anything negative about them in a while. I keep all that stuff to myself.

It really feels like you've become paranoid. But even if people don't like sony, i don't see why you need to be so angry about it all the time. And to be honest, these threads have just been a load of overcompensating on your part for what you feel is the anti-sony conspiracy going on here. If you want to leave, no one's going to stop you, but it really doesn't make any sense.

I do have a PS3, and I have played the Killzone 2 demo. It looks amazing, physics are amazing, but the controls and the PS3 controller take away from it, IMO. So I am not as excited about it as Yankee and Kang are. Also I really won't have much time for MP and if I do I will mostly play on Live. I do want to play some Resistance 2 co-op though.

The PS3 is a very nice machine, no doubts about that.

I remember before the 360 came out I made a thread on IGN saying 106 till the 360 releases, or something like that and there were a few people that complained and said it was to early for threads like that or what ever. Personally I think the more threads the better, because you never know when one is going to spark a bunch of discussion. Could anyone have guessed that the XBLA activity thread would get 50 fucking replies in like a day? This board is weird like that. When I make threads I never know what is going to get people posting. That is why I will make adiferent threads on similar topics. I think if we limit that stuff to much you do run the risk of the board becoming super slow.

I didn't mean to snap at anyone, I just felt ganged up on. I don't wanna stop posting. When things are slow here, it sucks because I'm at work all day and just wanna spark conversation. Plus Killzone is the only thing on my radar right now, so it's sort of all I have to talk about.

lol, no worries. I get frustrated all the time. I really don't want to stifle anyone, and I know you're really excited. It's just people were starting to notice, and as you can see, it's hard not to. Like I was telling jp. I have no problem with aynone loving sony. Feel free to enjoy it all you want. While I will admit that KZ2 is visually impressive, it just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not too big on FPS' either, outside of Halo and some Half-life. And yes, I don't like Sony or the PS3, for various reasons, but that doesn't mean you can't. It doesn't mean you can't make posts. it doesn't mean you can't show excitement.
