So I played the first 4 levels, and I am loving it so far. I am just going through on normal for the story the first time. The cutscenes are amazing, please MS let them make a 2 hour movie like this. My biggest complaint is that you can make up little sub groups of your army. I actually failed the forth mission because you have to protect 3 ships and your 2 bases are really spread out so I kept sending my whole army over to where ever the Covenant were attacking and then everything else would be exposed. Seems like this game is really designed for you to have a co-op partner managing half of things. The achievements seems crazy hard to get, maybe after I play more I will have the hang better and then it wont be so tough. Still it is the best RTS game ever already for me.

Well Katie the answer is because I was crazy tired. Kang I need to check with Hunter before I answer that. :p

I cant wait to try SO:4. The graphics are amazing, by far the best for an RPG until FFXIII comes out.

I actually haven't been paying attention. So I will be surprised. :)

You are going to pick up a game you have not been paying attention to? I am the exact opposite. If there is something I might be interested in I will watch/read all I can on it to hopefully better inform myself if I would like it or not. It is getting harder to do that now though with review sites giving such high scores to meh games.

I stopped paying attention a while back, I only look at a game enough to decide that I want it. Once I'm sure, I never look again, so as to not overhype myself.

I have no clue when anything is out right now. I've realized I have only a few hours out of each week for video games :(

Lately, me too :(.

We still need to try some Too Human co-op :)

I know the feeling. I get one or two hours a night (if that) after the baby falls asleep and on my days off I am usually taking care of her. That is why I am hardly ever online, by the time I get online, get into a game with someone it is time for me to go to bed. The one great thing about this is that I am getting to go through some of my backlog. I finished Conan, am almost done with Viking and I am playing through Bullet Witch now.

Another reason it is hard to get online is because the microphone on my Turtle Beach Headphones stopped working. So I have to wear a standard headset and have the volume turned down real low if I want to play online. So I can't hear what is going on in the game. Oh well I will be playing downstairs when it gets warmer so there might be more time to get online.

If it is something I am rather apathetic too (see: anything lacking "Lost" and "Odyssey", or "Panzer" and "Dragoon" in the title) then yes, I would rather be surprised by some game where I don't really know what I'm getting.

You forget Yankee, I have connections at the Gamestop, if I buy a game and it sucks, even new, then I can take it back. :) *though I get dirty looks*

I don't really read up tons on games. I usually see an early sneak or quick preview for a game and can tell whether or not it's up my alley. After that, I'll watch videos and look at screens just to hold me over until release. I ignore preview articles because they always seem overly positive and usually just serve to piss me off when the review comes out. It gets really tiring hearing how great a game is shaping up and then see it get ripped to shreds in the review. Alternately, I hate to see overhyped games that I know won't be that good getting talked up for months and then given reviews that are way too full of undeserving praise. Thankfully we get demos these days, too.

Halo Wars, yeah!

I got this coming. Looks good and I love the series (mostly... 3 was long-winded and buggy).

Halo Wars, I'm not sold on. It doesn't really seem like it's doing anything different than the average RTS. Since I'm not that into the genre in general AND I just got Dawn of War II, I think I'm going to take a pass.
